Learning Lights Letterbug
This product is currently sold out.
Learning Lights Letterbug™ teaches colors, letters and language skills. And we have adapted it so that it can be activated with capability switches.
The lights on Letterbug’s back spin as she cheerfully talks and sings about four colors (red, yellow, green and blue). She pretends to be different things, like a red fire engine when the colors change. The ABC button triggers an upbeat letter song that teaches letter names and sounds. Letterbug can also be rolled to activate the changing colors, music, sounds and phrases.
Letterbug is also a great toy for visual and auditory stimulation, and teaching cause and effect.
Learning Lights Letterbug™ requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). We recommend using Duracell or Energizer alkaline batteries only. Other types of batteries supply lower voltage and the unit may not perform properly. Do not use rechargeable batteries and never mix old and new or different brands or types of batteries.
The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the toy. Turn the toy OFF, then remove the battery cover and install 3 AAA batteries, paying attention to battery polarity. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.
Connect Letterbug to any two external capability switches (not included) with 1/8-inch plugs by means of the 1/8-inch jacks at the back of the toy. Be sure there are no gaps between the jacks and the plugs.
Turn Letterbug ON by means of the switch below the ABC button. There are 2 sound levels to choose from.
When facing the back of the toy, the jack on the right activates the antennae, which triggers the lights and entertaining songs and audio that teach the colors.
The jack on the left activates the ABC button, which teaches letter names and sounds along with the flashing lights.
If Letterbug does not function correctly:
- Make sure that the external capability switch is pushed all the way in and there is no gap.
- Try your switch with another switch-operated device to rule out the switch as the source of the problem.
- Turn the unit OFF.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries paying close attention to polarity.
- Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play again.
- If the unit still does not work, replace all the batteries with a new set.
If you will not be using the toy for an extended amount of time, remove the batteries.
Letterbug can be wiped clean with any household multi-purpose cleaner and disinfectant.
Do not use abrasive cleaners as they may scratch the surface.
Do not submerge the unit as it will damage the electrical components.
Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
Do not drop the unit.
