The Musical Triangle is an ancient percussion rhythm instrument that has a bright metallic shimmering sound. Adapted to be activated by means of a capability switch (not included), it is perfect for encouraging active participation in musical therapy sessions. It also stimulates creativity and self-expression and provides auditory and visual feedback.
The Musical Triangle requires 2 AA batteries (not included). We recommend using Duracell or Energizer alkaline batteries only. Other types of batteries supply lower voltage and the unit may not perform properly. Do not use rechargeable batteries and never mix old and new or different brands or types of batteries.
The battery compartment is located on the bottom. Remove the battery cover and install 2 AA batteries, paying attention to battery polarity. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screw.
Connect the Musical Triangle to any external capability switch with a 1/8-inch plug (not included) by means of the 1/8-inch jack on the side of the unit.
Make sure that the external capability switch is pushed all the way in and there is no gap.
Activate your switch and the Musical Triangle plays. When you deactivate your switch, the Triangle stops playing.
If the Musical Triangle does not function correctly:
- Make sure that the external capability switch is pushed all the way in and there is no gap.
- Replace the batteries paying close attention to polarity.
- Try your switch with another switch-operated device to rule out the switch as the source of the problem.
If you will not be using the Musical Triangle for an extended amount of time, remove the batteries.
The Musical Triangle can be surface-wiped with any household multi-purpose cleaner and disinfectant.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they may scratch the surface.
Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the electrical components.
